Bank Kerapu |
Bank Kerapu merupakan sebuah bangunan bersejarah yang terdapat di Kota Bharu, Kelantan. Bangunan bersejarah ini dibina pada tahun 1912. Ia merupakan bank pertama yang dibuka di Kelantan. Pada masa itu, ia dikenali sebagai "The Mercatile Bank of India Ltd".
Sejarah
Bank Kerapu merupakan bangunan pertama di Kelantan yang menggunakan batu. Ia dikenali sebagai Bank Kerapu kerana sebahagian daripada permukaan bangunan ini disimen
dengan menggunakan batu-bata kecil. Ia menyebabkan permukaan bangunan itu tidak rata dan menggerutu.
Semasa Perang Dunia Kedua, bangunan ini dijadikan sebagai ibu pejabat Kempai Tai iaitu pejabat rahsia polis Jepun. Ia juga dijadikan penjara, tempat siasatan, tempat penderaan dan aktiviti-aktiviti keganasan mereka yang lain. Setelah Jepun menyerah kalah, Inggeris kembali memerintah Kelantan dan bangunan ini digunakan semula sebagai bank.
Pada tahun 1977, nama bank ini ditukarkan kepada "The Hong Kong & Shanghai Banking Corporation". Pada tahun 1981, bangunan ini dijadikan Balai Seni Lukis dan Kraftangan Kelantan. Mulai tahun 1992, bangunan ini digunakan sebagai Memorial Perang Dunia Kedua di Kelantan.
Bank Kerapu Kini
Bangunan bersejarah ini kini digunakan sebagai Memorial Perang Dunia II. Ia memiliki dan mempamerkan lebih 1000 bahan pameran yang berkaitan dengan peperangan iaitu gambar-gambar, artikel dan artifak. Ia juga turut mempamerkan foto Sultan Ismail Petra sebagai Kolonel Kehormat Rejimen Artileri DiRaja Malaysia, sejarah hubungan Kelantan-Thai sebelum kemerdekaan dan kehidupan rakyat British di Kelantan sebelum dan selepas perang.

It is also used as a prison, where the investigation, the abuse and the activities of their other violence. After Japan surrendered, the British returned ruled Kelantan and the building used as a bank.
The Current Bank Kerapu
This historic building is now used as a Second World War Memorial. It owns and displays over 1000 exhibits related to the war of images, articles and artifacts. It also displays photos of Sultan Ismail Petra as Honorary Colonel of the Royal Regiment of Artillery Malaysia, Kelantan-Thai relations history before independence and life of the British people in Kelantan before and after the war.

In 1977, the bank's name was changed to "The Hong Kong & Shanghai Banking Corporation". In 1981, the building was used as Art Galleries and Handicrafts of Kelantan. Starting in 1992, the building was used as the Second World War Memorial in Kelantan.
